Ravey-Symone Talks child Stars

Raven-Symone has been an actress for 25 years, and that’s pretty impressive considering she’s only 28-years-old. The former child star and Cheetah Girl has managed to grow up in the limelight of Hollywood without any DUI arrests, inappropriate photo scandals or other scandals linked to her name, which is virtually unheard of in Hollywood. When so many other child and teen stars grow up and go through so much in their careers, it seems that Raven-Symone is the anomaly, but she doesn’t think so, and she’s not afraid to say what she thinks about her fellow actors and actresses during an interview with Oprah, which is set to air on October 5.

“My parents taught me to keep my private life private to the best of my ability. They showed me all the role models out there that I could turn in to, and to think about what I want for myself in the future,” she says of how she’s managed to stay scandal-free and out of trouble for the past 28 years. She’s spent a long time watching her fellow child stars lose control, go through terrible ordeals and become people who no one wants their child looking up to, and guess what? She does not feel sorry for them.

“Seeing all of the statistics with child stars going off the edge, what I’ve learned? It’s unnecessary to go to the most popular restaurant in the world when you have a scandal on your head and then get mad that someone’s going to take a picture of you. That’s your fault boo boo. Stay in the house,” she says to her fellow child stars and their inappropriate behavior. Since beginning her career on “The Cosby Show” at the age of 3, she’s been on numerous television series and movies, including the Cheetah Girls and That’s so Raven.
